If you have received a termination letter, it will state the reason for your pending termination. Please read the letter carefully:
As stated in the Family Responsibilities and Important Program Information form which is signed by you (the head of household) each recertification, the family is required to follow rules in the Section 8 Choice program. If anyone living in the home violates any of these obligations, the family may be terminated from the program.
Part of this form and under the ‘The family must’ section:
- Notify the Agency in writing within 15 business days if any family member, live-in aide, foster child or foster adult no longer lives in the unit.
If you have received a letter for termination due to failure to report a family member move out, this means it has been reported to us a member of your household has left the unit and you have not notified or provided required documents of the removal. All reports are investigated verified per program regulations.
